At the end of June, the Pärnu Animal Shelter received a call from Põhja-Pärnumaa, where a pregnant female cat had been staying on a family’s property for a week. Since the kitty didn’t seem to have a home or plans to leave, we took her to the shelter. The microchip check was unsuccessful. The chip was missing and the future mother stayed at the shelter. On the first day of July, labor began and the good mother gave birth to 2 adorable little kittens. We hoped that the miracle would continue during the night and that we would be able to greet all the kittens in the morning. Unfortunately, labor had stopped, but the pain in mommy’s belly continued. Since 24 hours were almost up, when labor is considered normal, we took mommy to the clinic with the already born kittens, where she had a cesarean section and 2 more little ones were helped to give birth. Mommy was also sterilized at the clinic. Everything went well with the whole family and mommy was named Emmeliine. Now it's time for Emmelin to set off for her real home.
